The Estonian national football team was victorious over Trinidad and Tobago tonight at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn, with Henri Anier scoring the only goal of the game in the 13th minute.

Anier found the net from 18 meters out after a series of good passes.

Both sides concentrated on attacking and the 3,000 who turned out were treated to a game with many good chances. The home side battled hard with many dangerous tackles and plenty of physical play.

Head coach Tarmo Rüütli had strengthened the squad, calling up seven players who did not feature in Monday’s 2-0 defeat to Belarus.

Tarmo Kink, Joel Lindpere and Raio Piiroja were among the new faces, while the team’s midfield maestro, Konstantin Vassiljev, dropped out.

The national team will face Kyrgyzstan next Tuesday in the final game in the hat trick of friendlies That game, too, will be webcast on ERR.
