EU Officials, CEOs in Tallinn for Cloud Computing Meeting
The Estonian president and European Commission vice president are today holding a meeting on the developments of cloud computing and the challenges facing the European Union in ensuring the security of data.
European Commission Vice President Neelie Kroes will be in attendance, as well as Michael Hange, the head of “Cloud for Europe,” a new project which will be introduced at a press conference.
Kroes, who oversees IT affairs, invited Ilves to head the steering board of the European Cloud Partnership last November. The project aims to advance cross-border digital public services in Europe.
The steering board members invited to Estonia include several CEOs and other representatives from F-Secure Corporation, Ericsson, SAP AG, ATOS and Dassault Systèmes.
