Estonian exporters would not be hard-hit by possible new Russian trade barriers on meat and fish from the EU.
Unlike the case with live animals and potatoes, the Agriculture Ministry said Estonia exports only limited refrigerated pork to Russia.
"We are constantly keeping an eye on developments in Russia as it is as a whole an important export partner," said undersecretary Illar Lemetti. "Based on 2012 data, the export of refrigerated meat to Russia is low, and Baltic herring and sprats are exported only frozen."
Fresh or refrigerated pork made up 3.7 percent of the 48,800 tons of pork that was exported to Russia last year.
The total refrigerated pork exports from the EU was 42,000 - 0.2 percent of the total, with Germany and Denmark the leaders.
Estonia did not export any fresh or refrigerated beef or poultry to Russia.
