This Week's Weather: Good News from the East
According to a legend, a weather forecast during Soviet times was banned in Estonia, as it read “Bad weather coming from the east,” but if the Meteorology and Hydrology Institute is correct, a warm front currently hovering over northern Russia should arrive by mid-week to bring back summer.
The change of fronts is likely to cause rain and lightning on Tuesday and possibly on Wednesday, but then rainfall is expected to continue to decrease until Saturday, which should be dry.
Tuesday temperatures are forecasted to be around 23 C across the nation, despite possible rain everywhere except in Kuressaare, Haapsalu and Tallinn.
Daytime temperatures should break the 25 C barrier on Wednesday in most places, while nights could be as warm as 18 C. Wednesday should also act as a template for the rest of the week.
