Merko Awarded Contract for 'Great Amber' Center in Riga ({{commentsTotal}})


The Latvian subsidiary of the largest listed construction company in Estonia, AS Merko Ehitus, was awarded a contract for the construction of the multifunctional Lielais Dzintars (Great Amber) center in Riga.

The gross area of the 10-floor cultural center will be 16,500 square meters. It will have an acoustic concert hall seating 1,000 and various rooms for cultural events.

The contract is worth 28.3 million euros, not including value-added tax. The deadline for completion is July 2015.
