Former CEO of Skype Estonia, Sten Tamkivi, has left the company after eight years.

Tamkivi had spent the last 12 month on sabbatical from the company, studying at Stanford University, but decided not to return to Skype after completing his studies, Äripäev reported today.

According to Äripäev, Tamkivi said he had an agreement with Skype to carry on in the company if he finds something interesting to work on there.

Tamkivi led Skype Estonia from 2005 to 2012.
