Estonia Face Hungary in World Cup Qualifier, Vassiljev Suspended
After a very emotional draw with World Cup qualification group leaders the Netherlands on Friday, the Estonian national football team have traveled to Hungary hoping for another miracle.
They will, however, need a whole series of miracles to qualify for next year's main event in Brazil.
Catching undefeated Netherlands for the top spot in the group is now mathematically impossible for Estonia, but second place could still be reached if the team begins with an unlikely win in Budapest tonight.
Even if Estonia wins at the Ferenc Puskas Stadium, Turkey and Romania will also have to be defeated in the next two games, with a few other results going Estonia's way.
Estonia lost 0-1 at home against the Hungarian team last October, and tonight's task will be made harder by absence of Konstantin Vassiljev, Aleksandr Dmitrijev and Raio Piiroja, who are all suspended. Their absence has led to callups for Sander Puri and Alo Bärengrub.
Tonight's game will be webcast on ETV, with a link posted here, but viewers will have to be located in Estonia for the privilege.
The game begins at 20:30 local time, 21:30 Estonian time.
ERR Sport has compiled a video to sum up Friday's match against the Netherlands, which can be viewed here.
