The international premiere of Veiko Õunpuu's new film "Free Range/Ballad on Approving of the World" will take place as part of the official program of the Berlin International Film Festival next February.

For those in Estonia, the film can be watched in cinemas starting tomorrow, reported uudised.err.ee.

The movie will be screened in Berlin as part of the sub-program "Forum," which has served as an international launch platform in the breakthroughs of a number of notable film directors.

Õunpuu's previous feature length movies include "Autumn Ball" (2007) and "The Temptation of St. Tony" (2009), the latter having premiered at Sundance.

This one tells the story of a young writer who finds himself in conflict over his role in society, having been fired from his job at a newspaper and finding out that his girlfriend is pregnant.

The movie stars Lauri Lagle, Jaanika Arum, Laura Peterson, Peeter Volkonski, Roman Baskin, Rita Raave, Meelis Rämmeld, Anne Türnpu, Lauri Kaldoja, Markus Luik and Laine Mägi.
