This Weekend's Weather: Fall Befalls Us
Perhaps taking a cue from the astronomical start of autumn that came on Friday, Estonia's weather over the weekend is looking to be rainy and cool.
A narrow low-pressure front moving in on Saturday will increase the likelihood of rain in western Estonia in the early part of the day, according to the latest from the Meteorology and Hydrology Institute. Toward evening, rain should come to the east as well. Temperatures during the day are expected to range from 16 to 19 C, dropping into the 7 to 12 C area overnight.
During the late hours of Saturday and the early hours of Sunday, a low-pressure zone over Estonia is expected to bring showers to the entire country. By daybreak, the chance of rain should be somewhat lower, but as the day goes on, winds are slated to grow stronger, gusting over 50 kilometers per hour on the islands and coasts. The day will be a cooler 14 to 17 C, dipping to a teeth-chattering 5 to 9 C after dark.
The beginning of next week is likely to usher in even cooler temperatures and more precipitation.
