The Social Democratic Party is continuing to filibuster today as Parliament reviews the 2014 state budget.

At 12:27, amendment proposal number 134 was put to a vote. There are another 270 to go. The large majority of the amendments were proposed by the opposition parties and will be voted down.

After an overnight session on Wednesday, Parliament reconvened at 17:00 on Thursday, but fell short of pulling a second all-nighter, tying up at 01:00 due to a lack of a quorum. The new session began today at 10:00, picking up at amendment proposal number 121.

Social Democratic MP Andres Anvelt told that parliamentarians are likely to have a sleepless weekend because sessions will continue on Saturday and Sunday.

In protest of low child benefits, the Social Dems are taking 10-minute breaks and roll calls before voting on each amendment.

In contrast with previous years, the Social Dems are this time alone in the delay tactics, as the Center Party has opted out.
