Edelaraudtee has lost its last chance to overturn the awarding of a domestic passenger rail service tender to a state-owned rail operator, Elron.

The Supreme Court said today it would not hear the dispute with the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

In the case turned down by the Supreme Cuurt today, Edelaraudtee was seeking to oblige the ministry to continue performing its 2009 contract and forbid the ministry from entering into a new one in 2014.

A separate process on the legality of terminating Edelaraudtee's existing contract continues to run in administrative court.
