Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will be taking part in a gathering of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels on December 3 and 4 where his agenda includes a bilateral meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry.

The two officials will sign a joint statement on cyber cooperation, reported uudised.err.ee.

"Our common principle is that the Internet should simultaneously remain both a secure and a free environment," Paet said.

Estonia is a founder and the current chairing country of the Freedom Online Coalition, an international governmental group created in 2011. In April, Estonia will hold "Free and Secure Internet for All," a major conference dedicated to the subject.
