National carrier Estonian Air has increased its baggage allowance making it possible for economy-class passengers to check in one 23-kilogram bag free of charge, as opposed to the previous 20 kilograms.

The maximum size allowed for carry-on luggage has also increased slightly, but the weight of the bag may still not exceed 8 kilograms.

Passengers traveling on flexible economy tickets can now check in two pieces of luggage with a total weight of 46 kilograms, and for business class passengers the new limit is 64 kilograms. Earlier the maximum total was 30 kilograms for both classes.

The new baggage rules apply to customers who purchase their tickets June 1 or later and are flying July 1 or later.
