Police say they have arrested a 21-year-old man suspected of robbing a jewelry store in a downtown Tallinn shopping mall.

Police spokeswoman Helen Uldrich said in a statement the man, who has no prior convictions, turned himself in.

The police have recovered some of the stolen items.

The Aphrodite store in Viru Keskus was robbed on July 9 at 12:30 in the afternoon by a man who wore a motorcycle helmet, spoke Russian, and wielded a toy gun. No one was hurt.
