Two Stabbed to Death in Ida-Viru County ({{commentsTotal}})

Police have detained a 31-year-old man for allegedly stabbing two men to death in a suburb of Kohtla-Järve on Friday evening.

Ambulances transported the two victims to a nearby hospital, but could not save them, Katri Krall, a spokesperson for the Prosecutor's Office told on Sunday.

According to Õhtuleht, witnesses said the stabber had asked for cigarettes or money and attacked the victims after they refused.

The man first stabbed one of the victims and then paused, but attacked the second person after he tried to call emergency services.

The incident was witnessed by many clients of a nearby cafe and other onlookers.
