Viru County Court has sentenced a 15-year-old boy to nine years in prison for murder.

The killing took place in July 2012, when two 14-year-old boys and a 17-year-old were drinking alcohol in an abandoned building in Kohtla-Järve.

A fight broke out between the youths and one of the 14-year-olds attacked the 17-year-old with brass knuckles and killed him. The third boy had run out of the building before the murder took place.

The victim's body was discovered in the building three days later. The killer was detained six days after the crime.
