Man Receives 6-Year Sentence for Killing Brother ({{commentsTotal}})

Harju County Court today sentenced 40-year-old Argo Mei to six years and six months in prison for shooting and killing his older brother Ago.

The Northern District Prosecutor's Office had asked for an eight-and-a-half year sentence, while the defense argued for more leniency, maintaining that the attack was provoked.

The younger Mei admitted to shooting his brother in the neck with a hunting rifle after a drunken dispute in a Harju County village a year ago.

Mei was also charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
