Heiki Nabi Takes Second Championship Title as Rival Gets Lifetime Ban for Doping
Greco-Roman wrestler Heiki Nabi will retroactively be given his second World Champion title because the gold medalist has been disqualified for doping.
At the Budapest World Championship in September, Nabi finished second only to Iranian Amir Aliakbari, but the latter is on a list of doping users released by the international wrestling association FILA, reported ETV.
Aliakbari had previously been on a two-year probation for doping and has now been given a lifetime competition ban.
Nabi also olds a gold medal from the 2006 World Championship and a silver from the 2012 London Olympics.
