Eri Klas Wins 'Golden Mask' Award ({{commentsTotal}})

Last week, Estonian conductor Eri Klas was the only foreigner to pick up the most prestigious award from Russia's Golden Mask theater festival.

Klas was recognized for his outstanding contribution to the development of theaterical arts in the 2012-2013 season.

He received the award alongside seven others, acclaimed figures in Russian theater: playwright and theater founder Galina Bolchek, director and playwright Mark Zakharov, as well as Russian actors Nina Yrgant, Oleg Basilashvili, Anna Kuzmina, Georgy Obukhov and Klarina Shadko, reported uudised.err.ee.

The awards ceremony will take place in April 2014.
