Head of Enterprise Estonia Calls It Quits ({{commentsTotal}})

Taavi Laur, director of the state agency that channels funding to companies and destination marketing campaigns, has announced he will leave the organization, citing personal reasons.

He took the post in July 2013. Laur said he will continue to preside over the organization until the process of agreeing on goals for the 2014-2020 EU funding period is complete.

"I am prepared to continue in this position in order to complete this job, until the new member of the board is appointed. Then I will take time off for personal reasons," he said in a statement.

"When I took the post, one of my first goals was to bring people with entrepreneurial experience to Enterprise Estonia," he said. Laur himself previously headed the business division of UniCredit Bank Baltikum.

"Today I am glad to say that Enterprise Estonia employs diligent and competent people who contribute their practical experiences to the good of the organization."
