Hospital Association Backs Audit Office Report
The Hospital Association, one of the major partners in the creation of the digital health system, said the recent criticism over the development of the state's e-services will drive them to further improve the digital healthcare system.
“Colossal effort has gone into developing the e-health services. The Audit Office report is partially unfair in its criticism, but will give us a good thrust to review the e-health services and to decide how to continue applying the projects,” the head of the association, Urmas Sule, said in a press release on Wednesday.
He said tasks must be reorganized and all healthcare workers must be involved to turn the e-health project around.
The Audit Office this week released a critical report on the development of the nation's e-services, saying that three out of the four larger projects are yet to be fully implemented, and costs have escalated from a planned 2.8 million to 15 million euros, and are increasing.
