Paet Remains Most Popular Reform Party Figure
A fresh survey commissioned by the weekly Eesti Ekspress shows that the current foreign minister, Urmas Paet, is the most popular potential prime ministerial candidate from the Reform Party.
Paet was preferred by 29 percent of a representative survey sample of the electorate. Kaja Kallas was second with 25 percent, followed by her father Siim Kallas, with 18 percent.
Incumbent PM Andrus Ansip had 9 percent and Justice Minister Hanno Pevkur was on his heels with 7 percent.
It is the elder Kallas who this week announced he was ready to run for prime minister and new party chairman.
