Despite the expected low metal tally by Estonian athletes at the Sochi Olympic games, Minister of Culture Urve Tiidus will be traveling to Russia.

According to Delfi, she will meet other ministers responsible for sports, thank the Estonian team's sponsors and meet local Estonians.

PM Andrus Ansip received criticism for attending the games, citing Russia's poor human rights record, although he himself paid for the trip. Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and Tallinn Mayor Edgar Savisaar are or were also in Sochi.
