President to Begin Talks With All Four Parties
President Toomas Hendrik Ilves said he will talk to all four parties represented in Parliament after March 4, when the Prime Minister will hand in his resignation.
The Office of the President said on Sunday that Ilves will have 14 days to name a candidate for Andrus Ansip's position, adding that only he is in position to do that after the Reform Party said on Friday that if Ansip resigns, Siim Kallas has the approval of the party's leadership to form the next government.
Ansip said on Sunday that he will resign on March 4, Shrove Tuesday, in what is seen as a Reform Party reshuffle in preparation to the 2015 parliamentary elections.
