The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website came under cyber attack today afternoon.

The attack is thought to be similar to the DDoS barrage that struck NATO websites on Sunday. Distributed Denial of Service or DDoS attack is an attempt to suspend a website by overwhelming it with empty requests.

The source of the attack is unknown and the website is again operational.

Eesti Post's package delivery operations were disrupted yesterday after a similar attack against a system center in Poland. The attack reportedly originated from Russian IP addresses.  Services were restored last night.
