A three-day strike ending today by Lufthansa pilots has led to the cancellation of 3,800 flights, with many travelers crossing over to Estonian Air.

A spokesman for Estonian Air, Ilona Eskelinen, told Eesti Päevaleht today bookings on routes to Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Stockholm and Oslo have increased.

Among the flights cancelled by the strike were between Tallinn and Frankfurt.

Estonian Air, which has suffered more than its share of troubles in the past few years, will publish its economic results from 2013, with daily Postimees reporting that the figure will be around 8.1 million loss, one million greater than the company had forecast.
