Kangur's Club Crashes Out of Premier European Basketball Tournament
EA7 Milan, home club of Estonia's highest ranked basketball player Kristjan Kangur, last night lost the fourth and final quarterfinals game against Maccabi Electra 86-66, sending Kangur's club out of the Euroleague tournament.
Milan led until the last quarter, but was outscored in the fourth 32-10. Kangur played 19 minutes of the game, scored two points, pulled in two rebounds, made two assists and committed two fouls.
Milan won one of the four games and will have to wait for next season to return to the tournament, which is the highest tier of European basketball competition.
This season TÜ/Rock made the biggest impression on European tournaments, winning nine matches in a row in the EuroChallange tournament, the third level, before falling in the quarter-finals stage.
Kalev/Cramo played in the Eurocup, one level higher, but lost seven out of 10 games in the first group stage, failing to qualify for the next round.
