Rõivas Addresses Defense Force's Office Equipment Procurement
Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas said the 7.2 million euros worth of tenders to purchase printers and copy machines is necessary for such a large organization as the Defense Force and many 2014 procurements will last for years.
Eesti Päevaleht reported on Thursday that the 2014 defense procurement plan also includes 7.2 million euros worth of printers, copy machines and the maintenance of those pieces of equipment.
Rõivas said people should not mock Estonian defense capabilities as the nation invests 384 million each into the field, 100 million more than Lithuania.
He said besides office equipment and other such purchases, 111 million euros worth military equipment will also be acquired this year.
