17-Year-Old Napoli Midfielder Called Up for National Game
Estonian attacker Frank Liivak, contracted to Napoli, Italy's third best football team this year, has been called up by new coach Magnus Pehrsson for a friendly game against Gibraltar in Tallinn on May 26.
Besides Liivak, Levadia's Artur Rättel, 21, could also make his debut.
Rättel is also an attacking player and their first match for the national team could be symbolic as the game is the testimonial match for Estonia's greatest ever striker, Andres Oper, who is retiring from the national team after 133 games and 38 goals.
The game is the first in a series of five friendlies in preparation for the Euro 2016 qualifying tournament, which begins in the fall. Pehrsson, who took over from Tarmo Rüütli a few month ago, said he is planning to test 30 players.
