Crime Briefs: Illegal Landfill in Prestigious Area and Bitcoin Drug Deal
Municipal police were called to investigate a noxious smell on Saturday evening in the Nõmme district of Tallinn.
The source turned out to be an illegal trash dump in the garden of an empty house with a “for sale” sign. The trash, which included dozens of buckets of mayonnaise had began to turn sour and the smell spread to neighboring houses.
The trash caught fire a few hours later and firemen were dispatched to the scene. The municipal police have began an investigation.

A local of Estonia's largest island, Saaremaa, received a fine of 1,700 euros for buying cannabis through the internet by bitcoin. The man also stole data from a company and used the information to open a post box where the drug was delivered, Saarte Hääl reported today.
The 22-year-old Timo ordered 6 grams of the drug from the Czech Republic for around 30 euros in January, but the package was opened by customs officials and 5.45 grams of cannabis found.
