Two Pedestrians Injured in Train Accident Near Site of Fatal April Collision
Two people sustained injuries this afternoon after being struck by a train at the Raasiku crossing, in the same area as an April accident that killed two people.
The police received word of the accident at the pedestrian crossing near the Raasiku station at 13:50. As in the April incident, when a truck broadsided a train, killing the driver and a train passenger, an afternoon Tallinn-Tartu passenger service operated by Elron was involved.
A 59-year-old made off worse, while a 22-year-old was also hospitalized, Postimees reported.
Train traffic was delayed by half an hour. Only the 13:16 train was affected.
