Estonian water motor sport competitor Raivo Peetsman died after a collision in the world championship of the OSY-400 class power boats, held in Poland.  

The accident happened on Sunday in Chodzież, in the third competition after the third round. Peetsmann was in fifth place when he was involved in a collision with the US athlete Michael Akerstrom, sport.err.ee reported today. Akerstrom was not injured.

Estonian Rasmus Haugasmägi eventually defended his title as the world champion.
