The Political Party Funding Oversight Committee has asked the Prosecutor's Office if new donations added years later to the Center Party's donors list of 2010 are in line with legislation.

A total of 16,106 euros was added to the 2010 donors list in 2012.

The donations are part of a larger investigation, as the sums were registered to have been made by at least two people, who later denied they had given the party such large sums, and told authorities at the beginning of July that party general secretary Priit Toobal had asked them to say they had made the donations.

Toobal, along with Lauri Laasi, also a Center Party member, have denied any involvement.
