This Week's Weather: Hot Air Continues, Sea Temperatures Not Far Behind ({{commentsTotal}})

If you liked today's weather, you should love the rest of the week, according to the Estonian Weather Service.

Today's high should peak around 33 C nationwide, with the only relief to be found around the coasts, which may reach a releavily moderate 25 C, with slightly or partly cloudy skies. Rain showers and thunderstorms can be expected in local locations, particularly near Lake Peipus. Winds will be light from the south.

Highs should remain in the low 30s through the week, with an increased chance of local thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday. Nightime temperatures will dip below 20. The forecast for Friday is for more cloud cover and only 23-29 C.

The heat level is raising the chance of forest fires. Estonian Weather Service has designated the islands, and the areas around Pärnu, Võru, Jõgeva, and Lahemaa National Park as medium fire risks.

Sea temperatures is rising rapidly, with Pärnu being the country's hotspot at 27 C, with all of the the western coast following closely behind. The northern coastal waters have now broken 20 C, an uncommon occurrence.
