US President Barack Obama will stop by in Estonia probably on September 3 before going to the NATO summit in Wales that week.

The rumor had swirled for most of the day until the Foreign Ministry confirmed it to uudised.err.ee. The official announcement is to be made tomorrow.

The NATO summit is being held in Newport, Wales on September 4 and 5.

Obama would be the second sitting US president to visit Estonia. George W. Bush visited in November 2006.
