First Batch of Song and Dance Festival DVDs Sold Out ({{commentsTotal}})

The first edition of this year's Song and Dance Festival DVDs has been sold out in record time, although a second batch has already hit the shelves.

Sirje Jõesaar, head of sales at ERR, said the first 5,000 copies were sold in three weeks from the broadcaster's online store, in-house store and book shops around Estonia.

She said the speed of sales came as a surprise, and they had projected to sell the quantity in two to three months, adding that the publishers were on collective holiday, but have now resumed printing the DVDs.

Around 15,000 DVDs of the last festival, held in 2009, were sold in the past five years.
