State websites housed by the Information System Authority (RIA) fell under a denial-of-service (DoS) attack from an unknown source Tuesday afternoon.

Rauno Veri, the head of communications for RIA, told Postimees the sites were flooded with fake requests, clogging services up for others.

Veri said the incident, which lasted from 14:30 to 15:30 was a cyber-attack, adding that it is too early to point fingers at any particular party.
