The head of the Parliament's foreign affairs committee, Marko Mihkelson, said Ukraine has become the most important destination for Estonian foreign development aid.

The committee met with public, private sector and NGO representatives on Thursday to discuss further help for Ukraine.

"Estonia has directed around 1 million euros of development aid for supporting Ukraine this year," Mihkelson said.

Estonia is helping Ukraine in its e-state development, has advised on reforms, and taken in those who have been injured in the fighting to Estonian hospitals, he said.
