Pehrsson names team for upcoming matches against Norway, San Marino and Jordan
National football team captain Ragnar Klavan will have to wait for his 100th cap as he will not play in two friendlies and one EURO 2016 qualifier during the next ten days.
He received a red card against England in the last qualifying match and will not be able to play against San Marino, with the head coach Magnus Pehrsson choosing to rest him for the two friendly games. Pehrsson said the match against Norway in Oslo on November 12 is a warm-up for the San Marino match three days later and will give him a chance to test a Klavan-less back four.
Ingemar Teever, 31, has also been named in the team, after a eight-year hiatus. The Levadia forward, currently enjoying top form, has 24 caps, scoring four goals between 2003 and 2006.
Of the 24 players traveling to Oslo, only 23 will be named for the San Marion away match, and the squad will be cut to just 18 for the friendly game against Jordan in Tallinn on November 18.
