Troitsky to get radio program, blog at ERR
Russian journalist, music critic, academic and Kremlin-critic Artemy Troitsky will begin airing a weekly radio program titled “new music for adults” in mid-January and open a Russian-language blog at ERR, the public broadcaster.
Troitsky told rus.err.ee that he has done programs on music since the late Soviet days.
“My generation and those 10-20 years younger usually listen to 'old' music, music from our youth, such as classical rock, blues, soul, punk, new wave, and they are skeptical and distant from modern music, disregarding it,” he said.
Troitsky said he will also introduce Russian music to Estonian audiences.
The radio program will air on Sundays between 17-18:00 local time on Raadio 2 from January 11. The show will be partly in English, partly in Russian.
His blog, which will appear on rus.err.ee will focus on music, life in Estonia and Russia and on current events.
Troitsky moved to Estonia in the summer, saying the atmosphere in Russia has become too hysterical and aggressive.
The state-funded Estonian public broadcasting, ERR, is also home to ERR News.
