Ewert and The Two Dragons set to release new album on Feb. 24
The most renowned Estonian Indie rock band Ewert and the Two Dragons have announced that their long-awaited third studio album will be released on the Estonian Independence Day, February 24.
The forthcoming album is called "Circles" and its release will be followed by a concert tour in the US and Europe.
The album was recorded in August 2013, in the Bear Creek Studios, USA. It was produced by Ryan Hadlock, who is best known for his work with The Lumineers.
"Circles" will be the first of the band's albums distributed by Warner Bros Records.
"This was an exciting process for us. The preceding albums were recorded in Estonia in very short time, but this time we spent an entire month in the studio in the US," Ewert Sundja said. "We had three or four songs when we went in, the rest were born in the process. It seems that we all had similar questions and thoughts going through our heads at the time of the recording. Although we are only in our early thirties, aging is a recurring motif in the album. I think we have come to understand life a bit better. Hence, the title "Circles" - we're back where we have been before and are still thinking about love, life, death, and what's right and what's wrong," he explained.
Last summer, the band's previous album "Good Man Down" was voted the best Estonian album of all time. In 2013, the band received the European Border Breakers Award.
Ewert and the Two Dragons will start its tour in the US in the second half of February. In addition to the officially announced dates below, the band will perform in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland.
