First Eesti Laul semifinal sends two favorites out ({{commentsTotal}})

Estonia has chosen the first five finalists of Eesti Laul, from whom this year's Eurovision entry will be picked on February 21. The night did not go down without surprises.

The five finalists are:

“Superlove” / Elisa Kolk (Vahur Valgmaa)

“Troubles” / Robin Juhkental & The Big Bangers (Robin Juhkental & The Big Bangers)

“Unriddle Me” / Elephants From Neptune (Jon-Arnold Mikiver, Robert Linna, Rain Joona, Markko Reinberg)

“Üle vesihalli taeva” / Maia Vahtramäe (Olav Osolin)

“Exceptional” The Blurry Lane (Kristina Bianca Rantala)

Rather surprisingly, two of the bookies favorites, Karl-Erik Taukar with "Päev Korraga", and Liis Lemsalu & Egert Milder with "Hold on", missed out on the final.

The final pick was a result of split jury and public vote.

The second semifinal will take place on Saturday, February 14.
