Pensions grow 6.3 percent ({{commentsTotal}})

The state pension will increase from today, April 1, by 6.3 percent. The pension-rate is amended once a year, calculated with the help of a certain formula which takes into account inflation and social tax yields.

The increase will mean the average state pension is now 375 euros per month, 22 euros more than in March.

The increase rate was initially predicted to be 5.9 percent but the final figure was higher due to better tax yields.

The minimum pension increased from 148.98 euros to 158.37.
