Tallinn block of flats evacuated after bomb threat by a senior ({{commentsTotal}})

On Wednesday afternoon, police received a call about an elderly man threatening with explosives in a large block of flats in Tallinn's Õismäe district.

Authorities evacuated the building and police negotiators set to work. Four hours after receiving the call, police took the 77-year-old man into custody.

No explosives were found and the man had not previously had contact with authorities.

Police said no one was hurt but they do not take threats like that lightly.
