Two of Estonia's more than 1.500 islands were listed on the world's largest private islands dealing real estate portal Private Islands Online, Postimees reported on Wednesday.
Since then, one of the islands, or islets by Estonian standards, has disappeared from the site. However, Hõra island, or Hõralaid, off the coast of Hiiumaa is still on sale for 999,000 dollars.
"In the modern world, it is not common to find anything as private and closed as this island is," Private Islands Online writes in the description of the wooded, 24-hectare islet.
The island is located on the main route of migrating birds, about 3.5 kilometers from Hiiumaa's largest Heltermaa port and 1.5 kilometers off the coast of nearby Vohilaid islet.
There are old farmhouse ruins on it and a well.
