Winners of this year's Bloodless Hunt photo competition have been announced. First prize went to renowned Estonian photographer Jarek Jõepera for his shot of a hare dashing through the rain.

Jõepera has won the competition once before, back in 2002. Coincidentally, the winning shot then was also of a hare.

The Bloodless Hunt was held from May 22-24 in Simisalu, northern Kõrvemaa, and had 41 participants.

It is the longest running nature photo competition in Estonia.
