The police-led search that also involves volunteers, conscripts and a helicopter, has started looking for a missing 17-year-old Markkus from Võru.

Markkus was last seen in a local supermarket parking lot at 00:30 on October 24, from where he was meant to head home.

Police have no leads on the case so far – the mobile phone of the missing 17-yearl-old is switched off and cannot be used to track his location, and there is no record of him in any of the city's security cameras. Police have therefore initiated a large-scale landscape search, enlisting volunteers and conscripts stationed in the local garrison.

Markkus is 161 centimeters tall, of slim built and has short brown hair. He was wearing an O'Neill jacket, black trousers and Nike sneakers. Anyone who has seen her are asked to call 112.
