Tsahkna: Fear is an acceptable reaction to refugee crisis
IRL Chairman Margus Tsahkna said the spreading fear in Estonia, as reaction to the migrant crisis, is an adequate reaction as communication from the European Commission on refugee quotas has been very wrong.
In an interview with Postimees, Tsahkna asked what will Estonia look like in 30 years. “We know very well what our demographic indicators look like, and how big outward migration is. Here lies the conflict: from one side, we are clearly against any mass migration here, but that must not be a blind, fear-based hatred,” he said.
“People throwing rocks at students with different color skin in Tartu should not, in no way, be our path,” Tsahkna said.
