The Estonian national killed in a road accident on the Liepaja-Riga road shortly after midday on Tuesday was construction businessman Mati Heinsar.

According to the police a tractor with a trailer collided with a Mercedes-Benz vehicle moving in the opposite direction on the 79th kilometer of the highway at 12:17 p.m.

The driver of the car, Estonian citizen Mati Heinsar, born in 1965, was killed and a passenger of the Mercedes, an Estonian national born in 1955, sustained injuries, LETA said.

Also two people in the tractor sustained injuries.
