Producer prices fell in February ({{commentsTotal}})

The Estonian industry's producer price index was 2.2% lower in February 2016 than in the same month the previous year. According to Statistics Estonia, there was a noticeable decline in the price of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply.

Similarly, prices were down in food products, fuels, wood, and wood products.

Compared to January 2016, the price index shrank by 2.3%, with the same sectors affected. A price increase was seen only in the production of beverages.

The export price index fell by 1.6% from January to February this year, and by 3.8% compared to February 2015.

The import price index in February was 1.2% lower than that of the previous month, and 4.2% lower than in the same month a year ago.
